The fourth edition of the biennial International Sculpture Festival – “ArtZuid” in Amsterdam was showcased from May 22 to 22 September 2015. The 2.5 km long route has numerous sculptures installed, from over 21 artists.
Participating artists are international celebrities, including Georg Baselitz, Jaume Plensa, Tony Cragg, KAWS, John Chamberlain, Georg Herold and Mimmo Paladino.
Using public spaces like this not only keeps something interesting for the public and tourists, but it also provides inspiration to artists whose works are displayed and exhibited on the streets of the city. Artworks like these can spark conversation between people and bring a few smiles on the faces of people passing by.
