I surely composed the shot quickly and wrapped it up before the couple got up. But the presence of the couple certainly put an extra star to the shot. Going below towards the pathways along the Sienne on the Saint Michel side certainly gives the best views of the Notre Dame.
The church itself was completed in 1345. It is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, and it is among the largest and most well-known church buildings in the world.
